"Cinema with Kimochi" a special discussion in collaboration with the Peruvian Japanese Association

"Cinema with Kimochi, the history of the Peruvian Nikkei Community and its adaptation to the big screen" was an event organized by the Peruvian Japanese Association, held at the Peruvian Japanese Cultural Center.

The panel discussion included Camila Murayama Tagami (writer and director of "Okaeri"), Caroline Gibu (cultural promoter) and Fernando Nakasone (investigator). The three of them explored the history of the Japanese immigration in Peru, the cultural significance of our history and the process of adapting it into film. The event was free and open to all public as part of the Community Restitution Act required by the Ministry of Culture's funding program.
